Roster

For large churches

Your giving program is working. This is the option it doesn't have yet.

Card, ACH, text-to-give, your app: all fixed amounts. Roster adds the one that takes a percentage of every paycheck.

What the new option does that the current ones can't.

01

It's set aside on payday

From the paycheck itself, before the money reaches an account, rather than pulled on a date someone picked once.

02

It's proportional

A percentage of income instead of a dollar figure, which is how many of your most committed households already think about giving.

03

It updates itself

A monthly gift set in 2021 is still a 2021-sized gift. A percentage moves with income, with nothing for the member to revisit.

Who it fits, and who it doesn't.

This won't be for everyone in your congregation, and it isn't meant to be. It fits the households that already give consistently and think in percentages, the ones for whom a fixed monthly amount was always an approximation.

For everyone else, nothing changes: the giving page keeps every option it has today.

Several locations, one account.

Multi-site churches add every campus to the same Roster account. Members give to their own location, and your team sees all of them together.

  • One account, every location Your campuses live under the same church account. No separate setups, no separate logins.
  • Each location has its own button A member at North Campus gives to North Campus. The option goes on each location's giving page, in that location's name.
  • Numbers by location, totals in one place The finance team sees every campus side by side, and the whole church at the top. Gifts land in your records tagged with the location.

It lands in the system you already use.

Every paycheck gift flows into the system your team already works in. Amount, member, date, fund designation. Your contribution records and year-end statements stay complete, and nobody re-keys anything.

How churches your size introduce a new option.

You've done this before. You added text-to-give once, and the app once. This is the same kind of move.

  1. 1 Staff and leadership first Elders, the finance team, campus pastors. The option is live on the giving page before anyone announces it.
  2. 2 A stewardship-season introduction One mention from the pulpit, one line in the bulletin, one email. The words are written; you add your church's name.
  3. 3 Then nothing new to run Same as when you added text-to-give: no migration, no retraining, and nothing changes for the members who don't choose it.

What your Finance Committee will ask.

All of it answered, in the finance chapter of How it works. Bring it to the meeting, or send us the questions it doesn't cover.

  • Where the money sits between paycheck and church
  • Whether it's tax-deductible, and whether it's pre-tax
  • How it appears in the books
  • What the auditor needs to know
  • Why pay 2% when ACH costs pennies
  • What happens if Roster stops operating

A conversation first, if you'd rather.

Twenty minutes with someone who can answer the finance and ChMS questions on the spot. Or create the account now and add the option in an afternoon.
